Karen is a recent graduate from the psychology program at York University and will be starting medical school at the University of British Columbia this fall. Throughout her undergraduate studies, Karen had various experiences, such as working at the Office of Student and Academic Services, volunteering at Mackenzie Health Hospital, researching in multiple labs within the field, peer tutoring, and acting as the Co-President of the Undergraduate Psychology Student Association at York. These experiences have helped her gain a comprehensive understanding of and appreciation for psychology, and she is eager to share these with prospective students interested in pursuing a psychology degree.

Course Description

This course intends to provide you with the tools you need to succeed in a psychology program and career. You will first learn general content and terminology covered in first-year courses, specialization and post-grad opportunities in your later years of study, and teaching, studying, and evaluation methods in the program to determine if this material suits your interests. You will also learn the different types of degrees you can obtain and the required courses to take in high school to prepare you for your applications and help you find the right fit.
