Marko Zivak

Marko is currently working as an Engineer-in-Training at the engineering consulting firm Smith + Andersen, where he previously completed a 12-month internship. Throughout his experiences, he has had opportunities to work independently, and within a team, to prepare mechanical drawings, design building systems, and pitch ideas to high-end clients. Marko has learned valuable information through his work experiences and undergraduate career and hopes to share this knowledge with you as you embark on your post-secondary journey.

Course Description

This course will provide you with information and strategies that will allow you to apply and enter an Engineering program of your choice successfully. First, you will learn about the major concepts covered in your first-year Engineering courses and the specializations available to you to further your knowledge in specific fields of Engineering. Next, you will learn about the prerequisites to apply for Engineering programs and learn how to select a university that is best suited for your ambitions and passions. Finally, you will learn the process to obtain experience in either the industry or academic fields of Engineering, giving you an in-depth look into the application process to present yourself as a well-rounded engineering student to employers.
